Frequently Asked Questions 

COVID-19

At The Bird and Stone, we will be putting in social distancing measures during most of our classes. However, due to the nature of Arts Education, a lot of our activities are practical and involve collaborating with other students not just intellectually, but physically. Sanitiser will be compulsory to use at the start and end of each lesson. If you child has been in contact with anyone suspected to have the virus or any of the following symptoms, please refrain from allowing them to attend lessons for at least 2 weeks.

All of our team are fully vaccinated by choice. Vaccinations for students and members are NOT required but we strongly encourage you to adhere to the instructions above for our community's safety. 

 

CLOTHING + ITEMS

Participants must wear closed in shoes and comfortable, non-restrictive clothing to prevent injury. School uniform is acceptable for children. All students must have their own water bottle, no sharing due to COVID. For Teen Acting students only, please also bring your own pen and something to write on  - no other writing materials needed. Studio T-Shirts are coming soon and will be available to purchase (not compulsory).

YOGA: Please bring your own yoga mat

DANCE: Please bring your own towel for DANCE FIT. Please bring your own heels for HEELS CLASS.

TERM DATES

All Kids and Youth Classes are scheduled to coincide with the NSW school term. 

All other classes (dance, yoga) are scheduled separately.  Please refer to our bookings calendar for details.

EXAMS + EISTEDDFORDS

If your child is undergoing private lessons and wishes to enter for an exam, please contact us and we will provide you with some extra information or you can visit https://www.trinitycollege.com/. We also strongly encourage students to audition for community theatre shows, particularly Tweed Theatre Company. You can visit their website here - https://www.tweedtheatre.com.au/auditions/.

Our lessons and classes will equip students to seek out representation at their own volition.
